The Beauty Balm can be used to cleanse and remove make-up, including waterproof mascara, using the oil cleansing method and then be used as a nourishing moisturiser. It is indeed a standalone skincare system in itself. However, adding the marshmallow facial oil to your nighttime regime will really complete the system by including many polyunsaturated fatty acids and a potent dose of our marshmallow root extract.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids, in particular linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid, are essential to maintain a good skin barrier which keeps moisture in and pathogens out. But polyunsaturated fatty acids will oxidise in sunlight causing damaging free radical damage, which is why we recommend using them at night.

Marshmallow root extract is incredibly hydrating and softening. It's known as an anti-aging herb and is a great addition to your day to day skincare protocol.
